Business Breakfast |
Programme
Brief
Fresh faced and eager students face a high octane double
shot espresso whirlwind tour of the real world of work. Business
representatives chat with a small group for around fifteen minutes and
then when the whistle blows all the groups move on.

Programme Overview
|
• A brief introduction and each student is given a breakfast
pack including fresh fruit, juice and pastries. Where appropriate
tea and coffee is served throughout the morning.
• Groups of around ten students engage
in discussion with business representatives from all areas of
commerce. We strive to achieve a balance between all the sectors,
and are able to engage representatives from all the major employers
in the area.
• Students have the chance to ask the
questions they really need to. How much does a barrister really
earn; is working for yourself the best option; which industries
offer the best opportunities to explore their interests.
• The programme concludes after two
hours. The students and business speakers are exhausted but feel a
tremendous sense of satisfaction

Outcomes
This is the most effective way for students and
businesses to engage in meaningful dialogue about the world of work.
None of the stuffiness of a formal “talk” from a business person.
Students are able to gain a broad overview and ask the specific
questions they “always wanted to ask”.
