Brief With the help of a leading provider of
Property
& Construction Surveying services this programme gives students an insight into
the construction and surveying industry. Students engage in a practical
and creative session building their own landmark project.

Programme Overview

An overview of Quantity Surveying and the opportunities available in
the construction industry
• Students will be tasked in teams to
design an EcoHome for the future using materials provided
• Student teams will be required to
consider the following:
◊Climate change ◊Resource
use ◊Impact on wildlife
◊Providing a safe and healthy home with
high quality of life
• Students will identify potential
obstacles to successful delivery of a project and explore the most
appropriate method for overcoming these problems
• Student teams present their designs
and demonstrate the methods their group would employ in construction
