Games Ideas Competition

I knew this would get you clicking.  One of our programmes, The World Games Challenge, features a series of mini games where we put students through low impact games to win medals.  We presently have the following games:

  • Hula Hoops - perimeter of plastic twirled around one's waist

  • The Stepper - like a running machine

  • 'On Target' - involves throwing discs onto a bulls-eye tarp

  • Feather Balancing - balancing feathers

All of them can be delivered in a competitive format, can be scored, marked, judged without taking much explanation, set up or space.  We are looking for some more innovative ideas for our Games.  Do you have any suggestions?

Something that is easy to transport and fun for 15 year-olds to take part in.  We used to have these butt-head hats that the students wore and then they threw velcro projectiles at each other catching them on their heads, but we did not take into account the vanity of the students and their disdain for messing their hair in the name of competition...oh, well.

What is your idea?

Please let me know by emailing ken@enterpriseandskills.co.uk

The winner of this competition will be acknowledged on the site and we will forever name the new game after its creator, possibly you!
